Cozy Gauntlets

The Cozy Gauntlets Pattern was created in my driveway with my partner. He manned the propane burner for the beer, while I crocheted I created this gauntlet pattern. Living in Saskatchewan spring and fall as well as late August nights you need a little extra warmth around the fire. These gauntlets are cute with the two opposing colours and the practicality of warmth.

How to Manage Patterns

The pattern is easy and I love making patterns that can easily be finished in a day. I find that having a pattern that takes less time to achieve the satisfaction of pride of a completed project, it fuels a person to finish those patterns that take months, even years. My sister taught me: 1) A hard pattern that takes a lot of mind effort to work on and 2) Quick patterns to keep motivation for pattern 1. This does actually help keep me propelling down the road of pattern creation or pattern writing.

I do not have only two at a time. I have around twenty. They are all differing levels. I flit between them all. It is comical how many things I have going at once, but mental health insists that there are different patterns for my different moods. Also for anyone who has ADHD people may judge you for not finishing one project at a time, they do not understand that by having multiple you actually get more finished because your brain focuses on shorter attention. Flitting between multiple things means you stay amped fore the productivity instead of slowing to an unsuccessful pace for the “one” project. Just a helpful mental health note.
