All Things Thread

The Craft

Doesn’t everyone have one skill or hobby they need to continuously work on? Whether that be video games, painting, or in my case anything to do with threads! I love all things thread. Crochet is what preoccupies me the most and a close second is knitting. But as my craft has time to develop, I find I am branching out more and more. The love of all things thread though may sound broad, but there are so many types that involve this simple item: thread.

Want More

Felting and Tunisian are two examples along with embroidery and cross stitch although I prefer the former. These hobbies engulf my brain while I drive along the freeway, slowly going through traffic or while I clean my house. Inside I am thinking, “oh this would work” or “that would work”.

My brain is filled to the brim with these ideas pulsating. I genuinely hope I am able to fill my tiny space on the web with these ideas for others to enjoy, to savour, to explore and also to create their own passions.

Why I Created This Page

Art and crafting is only good if it is shared and cherished. Do not hide it away. Do not be cross when someone wants to learn and copy. Be glad! Your art has spoken. Your art is going to blossom with someone else’s hands. I love to spread crafting, Enjoyment is going out for coffee and people watching and asking, “what are you making?”. This routine never gets old. The anxiety I feel by being in places ebbs away because I have my craft, and in turn my craft creates conversation. This is lovely and creative.

People lose touch of companionship because of modern day technology although let’s face it that happened with newspapers too, but there I am able to sit, in a coffee shop, crafting away and someone politely asks. This brings bliss to me. Fighting the boring dialogue of do not look at me, do not talk to me, here we are starting conversation with no words. This is why I had to share. I hope more people get this out of their crafts too.

Give The Gift of Thread

I want to share my threads, All Things Thread to be exact. Threaded things to me need to be shared, given, gifted and taught. Please join me in All Things Thread!
